If you’re thinking about selling a home - adding your property to a list of homes for sale in your area - then one of the things that you are likely to be thinking about is what you can do to save a bit of money during the process. Simply put, now that home prices have been dropping a bit, there are plenty of home owners who are looking for the opportunity to sell without a high price tag and many of them look at FSBO (for sale by owner) sales as a great opportunity.

Are FSBO sales the best plan of action for selling your home?

On some levels, if you care the most about your bottom line and the profit that you’ll have after the sale is your biggest concern, it’s going to look like you can win big with the for sale by owner path. But ask yourself this: how many homes have I sold? Do I know what I need to do to market a property effectively? Do I know what buyers are looking for in the area?

If you have your doubts after asking those questions, then the reality is that you’re going to be far better off when you start looking into working with an experienced real estate agent in your area.
