Tennis On The Beach, Anyone?

August 29th, 2008

Do you play tennis? How about on the beach?

In Jacksonville, Florida, you can actually play tennis on the beach and if you live there it’s just a little walk to the Jacksonville Beach Tennis Center. Seven courts. No kidding.

Well, not only does the beach have seven tennis courts, but they are also building a pro shop and lounge, not to mention a hitting backboard. I thought it was a beach, not a country club. Or maybe it’s both.

At any rate, this sounds pretty cool. I might have to move to Jacksonville myself just so I can brush up on my tennis strokes. And see if I can get in good with one of the Williams sisters.

According to Google Insights, the state with the most searches for “buy real estate” over the last 12 months is Florida. In fact, the top 10 states for searches by people looking to buy real estate are Florida, New Jersey, New York, Hawaii, Colorado, Georgia, California, North Carolina, Louisiana, and Utah.

This real estate assistant can help you improve your marketing and business processes no matter what state you sell real estate in.

If you are a real estate agent in any of these states then you should have a web presence. You should have a website and you should have a blog. Both tools are necessary in today’s hot Internet marketing climate because, increasingly, your competition is adopting these methods and by using these tools they will surpass you in the search engines and get the business before you do.

People start their search for buying real estate online, no matter where they live. The top searches for real estate are:

  • buy house
  • buy home
  • buy homes
  • buy a house
  • buy a home
  • buy houses
  • buying real estate
  • buy owner
  • buy land

Does that mean you should be using these search terms in your real estate content? Maybe. Maybe not. But one this is for sure: If you expect to gain a competitive advantage in your local real estate market then you need to consider the needs of buyers in your area and reach them online before your competition does.

Google Insights also reports the following rising searches by volume:

  • real estate market +30%
  • rent or buy +20%
  • real estate investor +20%
  • real estate companies +20%
  • real estate agent +20%
  • we buy houses +10%

See a graph of these results.

It’s important to understand the online consumer search for real process if you plan to get ahead in your local real estate market. Why not consult with someone who can help you beat the competition?

Beaches In Florida

July 28th, 2008

If you’re looking for real estate in Florida then you’ve got a lot of options. Especially if you’re looking for beach front property.

There is always Jacksonville, of course. Then there’s Atlantic Beach. But where you move to in Florida really has a lot to do with your style and preferences. Not all beaches are created equal.

If you like white sand beaches then Jacksonville, Florida has plenty of white sand. But even more than just the communities, the style and comfort of the home that you’ll be living in is important to. Why not take a look at some

Get Married In Florida

July 22nd, 2008

If you are getting married then you might consider doing so in Florida’s First Coast. Imagine getting married with the sun to your back and the future at your face. When you put the world into perspective on your wedding day then the entire world and what is to come will be in perspective. I can’t think of any place in the world that makes for better backdrop to wedding bliss than Florida.

One thing that makes Florida such a beautiful place for a wedding is you don’t have to go far for the honeymoon. Many honeymooners head to Florida in the summer for that great vacation. And if you are already there then you don’t have far to go. Plus, if you decide to move there then you don’t have far to go live either. Heaven in one state. Florida.

How many people do you know actually consider the arts when looking for a new home? It might be something you want to consider. Such considerations as what particular arts are available in your neighborhood, the proximity to important arts and artists, and even how often you participate in the artistic communities that are important to you.

Seaside Views, a real estate blog in Jacksonville Florida, recommends a trip to the Jacksonville Museum of Contemporary Art for families considering a move to Jacksonville. That’s a good idea. If you are planning a move to a community anywhere in the U.S. then you might want to visit a few museums or tourist hot spots to see what the local flavor of the community is. Local art can be a sign as to what the values of the community are and if you don’t see yourself fitting in, pick another neighborhood.

Choosing the right place to live is a lot more than just how much you will pay for your home. Sometimes people have to relocate for reasons beyond their control or for a new job, etc., but most people have some choice in where they will buy their new home.

Areas where there is a lot to offer people and their families will always attract more home sales. One of the ways a city can encourage people to move there is to make sure that they offer what people are looking for.

Cities with great recreational facilities attract homebuyers. Cities with great parks and attractions attract more homebuyers. Cities with tours, great restaurants, and more attract homeowners.

Cities with great golf courses and sports facilities and spots teams also attract new homebuyers. Take a look at this post about Jacksonville, Florida and baseball. You will see how jacksonville does it’s best to attract new homebuyers.

Jacksonville Residents Getting Ready for Baseball Season

When it comes to professional baseball, Spring Training is still a few weeks away. But that doesn’t mean that Jacksonville residents can’t get a jump start on the action with college baseball.

First, the UNF baseball team will be playing Mississippi State on February 22 at 5:00PM. The Bulldogs are one of the perennial powers in college baseball and appeared in last year’s College World Series. This game coincides with UNF’s homecoming, and it will be the Ospreys first game of the season.

If you sell real estate you should get together with other real estate professionals in your area and make a list of things your city can do to attract new homebuyers and meet with your local city council and mayor to push them to make improvements and offer more to attract new homeowners to your city.

They choose to spend their budget on a lot of different projects. With the way the housing market is now, they should be putting a huge emphasis on projects that will attract new homebuyers now.

Do people choose to buy real estate based on how available good golf courses are in the area? You can bet many people do. It isn’t the only consideration obviously, but for some people it is one of the things they will consider before buying their new home.

Abacos at Salt Run

November 25th, 2007

Developers are really spicing things up at Salt Run Harbor in St. Augustine. There are a lot of new opportunities for developers, real estate agents, and home buyers.

People on their yachts, sailboats and fishing boats moving through the Salt Run Harbor in St. Augustine have long used the Conch House Marina as a landmark, but may soon start setting their sights on The Abacos at Salt Run when they boat through the area.

For those boaters who have been to the Abacos in the Bahamas, the design and architecture may even make them take a second look at their navigational charts.

The first two-story, single-family Ocean Manor has just been completed at this waterfront residential development – part of a 15-home residential enclave located on Inlet Drive that will reflect the same colonial architecture as our Caribbean neighbor to the south.

The Rest of The Story here

When Sam Borden in Jacksonville said the Jaguars stink, the blogger at Seaside Views objected. I don’t blame him.

Your home team is important. You want to root for them. But what if they stink? Do you still root?

Well, I’m sure you don’t move. A community is much more than its sports team. You can watch your favorite sport on TV or go out and play a round or two in the sun. Of course, you might be into theatre or mime. You could be interested in high class events or bar hopping. Whatever your interest, you can be active in your community with just a little bit of interest in the neighbors or by stepping out on your back patio. The trick is to find a community worth involving oneself in. Have you done that?
